The Company: Jessica Hubbard
Jessica Hubbard began dancing at the age of four at Nutmeg Ballet in Torrington,
Connecticut. She trained classically under Sharon Dante, Eleanor D'Antuono
and Alexi Tchernichov amongst others, and attended various summer programs
with such esteemed schools as Joffrey Ballet and the Rock School of
Pennsylvania. Jessica continued to dance and perform under
Denise Warner Limoli while attending Skidmore College in
Saratoga Springs, New York. During her time at Skidmore, Jessica
also taught ballet classes at the Merritt Dance Center in Schenectady,
New York and guest performed in The Nutcracker as the
Sugar Plum Fairy for the Adirondack Ballet Company in
Queensbury, New York. Jessica graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore in
2002 with a double major in Dance and Sociology and went on to attend
Columbia University, receiving her Masters degree in
Quantitative Social Science Research in May of 2005. Since that
time she has been working at IAG Research as a Research Analyst for
the movie industry and she continues to dance as much as she can manage.
Jessica met Laura Ward while working on the musical Project:
Ground Control and joined Octavia Cup Dance Theater in 2005.
