Lisa is very excited to begin her first season dancing with Octavia Cup. She began her training at the New Jersey School of Ballet and continued on with Princeton Ballet, under the primary direction of Septime Webre, the late Philip Jerry and Elisabeth Carroll. As a five year member of the junior company and Audree Estey/Ruth Pettit scholar, Lisa performed leading roles in many classical and contemporary ballets on numerous regional stages. In 1998, she was offered a place in the BFA Dance program at Juilliard, as well as a contract with Webre's American Repertory Ballet; however, Lisa decided to attend Cornell University to pursue all of her passions: dance, musical theater and the world of business. After a few year hiatus, she rediscovered her love of performance when she joined Calvin Wiley Dance Theater in 2007, tackling lyrical, jazz and hip hop. When she's not in class or on the stage, Lisa is working in Institutional Sales at FactSet Research Systems, supporting the asset management side of Wall Street, or enjoying life with her wonderful husband, Alex.
